THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH

This one comes from the heart and I am not kidding - at all...

The Light of the Highest power exists in the person of Stevie Wonder. It is visible and present. I saw it and it is overwhelming. I have never said anything like that about him prior to seeing him at the Waste - sorry, the Taste of Chicago the last Saturday in June, 2008.

But this is more than a post about the show (two hours and forty minutes and thirty songs) or how good his band is or the backup singers. This post is about how we can all learn something from someone who has the inane ability to remain a free spirit in this day and age.

Being a free spirit is what we were when we were children remember? Our responsibility when we were children was to remain within eyesight and earshot of our families. We were creative and full of energy and we were humble almost to a fault. We knew inherently LOVE. Never did we question what that was and on many occasions when we were children we had exclusive meet and greets with a higher being.

What makes people like Stevie great isn't so much the longevity of his music although that is important. In my opinion we need to walk closer to our true self in order to get that free spirit back. Listen I know about reality and this may end up being as corny as anything that you may ever read but I firmly believe that if we pursue something hard enough, we get it. If we seek knowledge we find it. If it's sex you want and you want it bad enough you find that. Money, look for it and BAM you can find it. It seems that nobody is looking for inner respect and THAT is what I got out of that concert. The inner respect that the man has for himself is incredibly, blatantly obvious.

In my opinion Stevie Wonder has it and in his attempt to be what Berry Gordy saw years ago, he has transcended everything we know about modern music and he is without question or peer the most important living musician on PLANET EARTH. For me however it's this very public walk with GOD that he is taking and his wisdom that he has shared with us for all these years. The look on peoples faces and watching the reaction of children when he played. How he has as many accomplishments outside of music as he does in it (Stevie was Bono waaaaay before Bono) and how he extends this happy feeling in such an ugly world. We owe it to ourselves to reintroduce ourselves to what he has been saying all this time. It might help, I mean really what can it hurt?

This is real talk...pass it on. Stevie Wonder is the Absolute Truth...

He willsneak in and play harmonica on other people stuff and all you think about is Stevie! Stevie Wonder has and will make more beautiful and profound music while we're all asleep.I believe Stevie is a MESSENGER. The song "As" is one of the most perfect love songs EVER. I think Stevie Wonder should sing the National Anthem on 1.20.09. Thanks for an uplifting message. We should all be able to experience such great joy AKA as Stevie Wonder. *smile* Oh yeah, sorry to blog on your blog. :MUAH:
