QUICK HITS

Okay here we go...

ROGER DODGER

Looks like the HGH guzzling maniac known as Roger Clemens is about to fumble and stumble upon every word that comes off his bubblin' lips...It's too bad that CONgress doesn't have the same time to devote to the ongoing crisis in Americas urban areas but wait a second - what am I thinking? Baseball has an anti-trust exemption. The citizens only have voting power...that and anarchy but who wants that?

Look at it this way, if CONgress does manage to get that slack-jawed bumpkin to admit he was hitting the Flintstone's Chewables AND getting a needle shoved in his arse - hooray beer! But Roger won't say anything and most likely commit perjury primarily because he is stupid.

DAMN HILL, WHAT GOES ON?

Hey baby you might want to make sure you can effectively pick your face up from the floor between today and next week. Citizens of Texas and Ohio - DO THE RIGHT THING - get up early and vote...vote for anything but the same thing. I know that this will be hard but hey what is the worst scenario and who would you rather have at the controls?

Momentum is a bitch ain't it? Hillary you should have told your man to STFU at the very beginning of this long campaign. You already knew that his mouth is tainted and certain to get anyone within a 50 mile radius in some kind of trouble.

Barack Obama has the attention of college aged adults, black folks, white folks and women. REAGAN, BUSH, CLINTON, BUSH. 32 years of the same thing. Nuff said.

SPRING IS COMING

Here in Chicago the snow globe of Planet Earth, the saving grace is that PITCHERS and CATCHERS REPORT! By the end of this weekend both the CUBS and WHITE SOX will be in the beginning of Spring Training and I will be happy as a pig in slop. A welcome change of pace from a dreary, long winter. Hooray Baseball!

Aw C'mon Arne!

Welcome to February and a pretty large snowfall. Large enough to close this many schools but not the Chicago Public Schools. There hasn't been a snow day in the Chicago Public Schools since 1999. Arne Duncan CEO of the school system said, "We've never had a snow day, we really think our schools should be open – barring some unforeseen disaster, we can to keep schools open."

But wait a second Arne - isn't the real reason to keep the schools open money? The system can't get money from the state/feds if the schools are closed right? Risking peoples lives on a day like today when at least eight inches of snow has fallen already? Mr. Duncan your teachers won't go to school on a day like this.

The kids that do manage to show up end up with a substitute or they are placed in either a lunchroom or auditorium - LEARNING NOTHING ARNE! How much snow has to fall in order for Arne to say no school? THERE IS NO AMOUNT. If a car can move through the snow then the schools are open. It has been said if the CTA can't operate because of the weather then the schools are closed. THE CTA IS ALWAYS IN OPERATION. Give your students a break Arne - let 'em stay home. By the way do you think Arne went to work today?
